I think that you need 10 forum posts before you can PM, if you are new then that is the thing.

I have a few questions and a suggestion, questions first I guess :) Is the story character based or are you making it up as you go along or have you planned the plot? Also is this a RP we are going to flex out over time and keep it going for a while because I am looking for a permanent RP one on one so I thought this would be a good one to keep :D

Three more Oklahoma flu deaths reported

Seventeen people in Oklahoma have now died from flu since October. Four of those deaths have been in Tulsa County, which has by far the most hospitalizations at 216. The number of hospitalizations reported last week was 78, bringing the total since Sept. 30 to 722. The week before, 71 new hospitalizations were reported, and in weeks before that it was 130 to 140. Twelve of those who died have been 65 or older, and the rest have been between the ages of 19 and 64. In addition to Tulsa County, deaths have been reported in Cleveland, Comanche, Creek, Mayes, Muskogee, Oklahoma, Pittsburg, Rogers and Stephens counties. The state health department doesn?t track whether those who are hospitalized or die from the flu received the flu shot or had a pre-existing condition. Oklahoma is among 26 states reporting high flu activity and 47 states reporting widespread geographic activity. More than 6,000 hospitalizations have been reported nationally since Oct. 1, which is a rate of more than 22 hospitalizations per 100,000 people. Health officials say the flu vaccine is the best way to protect against the flu and it?s still not too late to get one. People are also reminded to wash their hands frequently, cover their coughs and stay home from work or school when sick. Read more on this story in Friday's Tulsa World.

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) ? The scaremongering is all over British tabloids: Romanians and Bulgarians (Pickpockets! Scam artists! Scroungers!) flooding into the UK by the thousands once work restrictions are lifted next year.

Tired of the stereotypes, some are striking back.

One Romanian newspaper is running ads questioning why anyone in their right mind would head for an island with bad weather and worse food, when they could stay in a country where: "Half of our women look like Kate. The other half, like her sister." ? a quip about the glamorous Middleton sisters who are popular in the Romanian press.

"Our draft beer is cheaper than your bottled water," boasts a second ad in online Gandul, while another notes that Prince Charles bought a house in Romania in 2005.

Behind the tongue-in-cheek campaign is a serious message for Britain.

Romanians and Bulgarians see themselves as hard-working, skilled employees with excellent English who already contribute to Britain's economy. They say that reports they will bleed dry the welfare system once EU restrictions are lifted are both exaggerated and offensive.

"We are mocked, denigrated and made to feel like third-class citizens," said Gandul editorial director Claudiu Pandaru. "This is a humorous, good-mannered response. We want to show the British that we have two important reserves: intelligence and humor."

Bulgarian construction worker Dimitar Dimitrov, who has lived and worked in London since 2010, feels insulted. "I am a European citizen, like thousands of my compatriots here, and I don't understand why we are discriminated against. I am working probably harder than every single citizen of Her Majesty, and contributing to the economy in the UK with my taxes and social security payments," he told Bulgarian media.

In the UK, statistics show that almost 1 million Eastern Europeans have come to Britain over the past decade, and data from the 2011 census showed that Polish is now the second-most common tongue in the country. Romania and Bulgaria are the EU's poorest nations.

Britain's jingoistic tabloid press has been stoking fears of a second wave of migrants next year. The Daily Star spoke of a "migrants flood" and the Sun warned of a "border alert."

For its part, the British government has responded to such fears by saying it is considering "options" to deter a potentially huge influx of Romanians and Bulgarians. Ideas include ads explaining that new immigrants could face restrictions on what welfare benefits they can claim, or be deported if they fail to get a job.

Romanians acknowledge that some of their citizens have given the country a bad name with ATM scams, begging and pickpocketing. But they insist these cases are a minority, with most of their citizens law-abiding, taxpaying citizens.

Some British commentators have scolded their compatriots for sowing fear.

Robert Shrimsley in the Financial Times noted sardonically that "as our friends the Poles discovered, the British can tolerate anything except hardworking people who come over here to do the low-paid jobs we can't be bothered to do ourselves."

Expert: Tanning Beds Major Part Of Increased Skin Cancer Rates

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) ? New data from the Health Department shows skin cancer is on the rise in Minnesota. Melanoma rates rapidly increased from 2005 to 2009.

The new data shows melanoma skin cancer increased by 38 percent for women during that time, and 35 percent for men.

Doctors say it is a combination of a lot of things, but over-exposure to the sun and tanning beds are a big part of the increase.

?I do go tanning. I actually used to work in a tanning salon. But I feel like just to keep a little bit of color in your skin isn?t horrible for you,? said Rachel Fuller.

The American Suntanning Association feels the same way. In fact, they say research done by health care providers is flawed. They accuse researchers of going so far as intentionally burning patients in tanning beds.

?If you read the rebuttals from physicians, they say it is complete hogwash,? said Dr. Barbara Benjamin.

Benjamin works for Fairview Clinics and treats people for skin cancer. She?s not surprised by the Department of Health?s findings and she says tanning bed exposure, particularly in young people, is to blame.

?It?s been recognized as a carcinogen in humans by the FDA. It?s like smoking,? said Benjamin.

Benjamin said the American Suntanning Association has an economic bias, and in her eyes, even a small amount of exposure is too much.

?As physicians, we aren?t trying to induce cancer in any of our patients. We are trying to prevent it. In my mind, we should ban tanning beds,? said Benjamin.

The American Suntanning Association did not return calls from WCCO-TV Wednesday.

However, in a recent article in MedPage Today, they suggested that some physicians have referred patients to tanning beds for therapeutic reasons. But Dr. Benjamin is obviously not one of those doctors.

Benjamin says the number of teenagers developing skin cancer is alarming to her. It?s not just tanning beds, too. She thinks consistent skin exposure even in Minnesota, can have long-term consequences.

Nokia Delivering Windows Phone 7.8 to Older Lumias

Nokia today announced that it is making Windows Phone 7.8 available to its older Lumia smartphones. The update will be pushed out on a carrier-by-carrier basis over the coming weeks and through February.

In addition to the new Start screen with adjustable Live Tiles, Windows Phone 7.8 adds new functionality to the lock screen, such as daily Bing images and child lock screen security. Windows Phone 7.8 also adds support for a number of new languages.

The software can be installed via Microsoft?s desktop-based apps to devices such as the Lumia 900, 800, 710, and 610. It is a free system update.

Splashtop's Configurable Shortcuts & Gamepad feature lets tablet users create virtual controls and more
