Taste In Holiday Lights : Mom Knows It All. ? PR Friendly New ...

Straight String Christmas Lights

You can tell Thanksgiving wasn?t that long ago. How can you tell? That?s simple. Drive through the area and you?ll notice that there are houses decorated with Christmas lights that didn?t have them five days ago. Many people take advantage of the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend to not only enjoy a great meal and time with the family, but also to start decorating the house for Christmas. I myself have spent many Black Fridays hanging Christmas lights on the front of our house. Yes me, not hubby. I don?t mind doing it, and it gets done.

Now I don?t know about you, but I?m a little picky about Christmas lights. No neon green and purple lights for me. If I?m hanging icicles, I like white icicles. If I?m hanging regular strings of lights, I prefer the traditional multi-colored lights. I don?t mind blinking or flashing lights, as long as they?re all doing the same thing at the same time. I also like it when the lights are configured to blink in sequential order going up or down a line. When they?re like that it looks so cool and organized, almost like something you?d expect to see at partybingo.com and not on a house. By far the coolest thing that I?ve ever seen was a house decorated with thousands of lights flashing sequentially to music. Yes, to music! When you pulled up n front of the house you saw a sign telling you what radio frequency to tune to. When you did you hear the Christmas songs that the lights were flashing to the beat of in your car. It was very neat.

I didn?t get a chance to put our Christmas lights up outside yet. I?m hoping to do it in the near future. This year I?m going with my favorite and our old standby ? tradititional colored mini-lights. What?s your favorite kind of Christmas light?
