We?re two weeks into November, so we?re starting to move up the list of the Top 25 Facebook Games of November. As always, we?re checking out traffic numbers by daily active users (the best gauge of a title?s core audience).
These games are still incredibly close together in terms of traffic, which means small shifts in traffic can cause a title to move several positions up or down on next month?s chart. Many of the games listed were tied with one another in November, too, so this is especially true this time around.
Here?s what we?ve looked at so far this month:
- Nov. 8, 2012: No. 25 (DoubleDown Casino) through No. 19 (Zynga Slingo)
This week, we?ll look No. 18 through No. 13.
T18. Monster World
Wooga?s Monster World saw a brief spike in traffic up to 1.9 million DAU, but the game?s returned to 1.8 million since then. After hitting a peak of 2.3 million DAU in April, the numbers saw a brief steep drop that steadied out in late August. Since that point, the game?s been holding steady around its current traffic point. The game?s traffic will likely increase once Wooga releases the iOS version of the game, which will be designed to provide a connected cross-platform experience, but if that doesn?t launch in time for December then it?s unlikely the game?s position on next month?s chart.
T15. CastleVille
Zynga?s CastleVille has dropped from 2 million DAU to 1.8 million, continuing the long fall the game?s seen since it spiked in December 2011 with 8.5 million DAU. As opposed to some other Zynga games (we?re looking at you, The Ville), CastleVille?s traffic has been falling steadily over the past year. Since April, the losses have slowed down and the game?s numbers have only dropped by just over 1 million DAU, but it doesn?t look like the game?s going to turn its traffic around any time soon. If the numbers keep falling like this, the game?s numbers might be as low as 1.5 to 1.6 million DAU. Should that happen, CastleVille might find itself gone from next month?s list.
T15. Top Eleven- Be a Football Manager
Nordeus?s Top Eleven ? Be a Football manager finally saw the traffic spike we?ve been predicting would take it past the No. 20 position; this month, it?s up to 2.1 million DAU from 2 million. The game?s been seeing strong growth since it launched in May 2010, but traffic increases have been becoming more dramatic in recent months. Since the start of August, the game?s managed to gain 500,000 DAU. It?s not unreasonable to assume Top Eleven might see another jump before the end of the month. Based on the latest increase, it looks like the game might actually grow enough to move above the No. 12 spot on December?s list.
T15.????????? ???????
FunPlus Game?s???????? ??????? (?Happy Farm?) ?saw some gains this month going as high as 2.1 million DAU before returning to 1.9 million. The game peaked in March with 3 million DAU, but the Arabic-language farm sim has been gradually losing users until August, where traffic stabilized around the 2 million mark. If Happy Farm manages to go up again in time for the end of the month, it might jump a place or two on December?s list.
T13. Slotomania
Playtika?s Slotomania managed to return to its peak traffic point of 2.2 million DAU, but the game?s back to 2.1 million (where it?s been holding steady for the past few months). This is another game that launched in 2010 that?s seen strong, steady growth, but it seemed to plateau in April with 1 million DAU. Still, based on how the other games on the list are performing, Slotomania might move up a spot or two in time for December?s list.
T13. CityVille
CityVille is another Zynga game that?s dropped significantly, down from 2.1 million DAU to 1.8 million. The game jumped a little at the start of the month, but traffic is continuing to fall. Like many of Zynga?s games, CityVille is one of those titles that saw tremendous early traffic (peaking in March 2011 with 21.5 million DAU) but has steadily losing users ever since. Based on the losses so far this month it looks like CityVille will still be on December?s list, albeit near the bottom.
All data in this post comes from our traffic tracking service,?AppData.?Stay tuned for next week?s continuation of our Top 25 gainers and losers, when we look at No. 12 through No. 7 on the list.
